Description
Hello and welcome to my auction! Here we have an original Glover two tone blue and white houndstooth gabardine rockabilly swing jacket! The label says Glover - Tailored Man Apparel - Zelan (a Dupont “durable water repellant” fabric based on my research).
It has been freshly dry cleaned and pressed. There is a fabric hanging loop above the label.
It is a rich medium navy blue with blue and white houndstooth fabric on the upper front and back and collar. It also is partially lined with the houndstooth fabric - see pics. It has built in shoulder pads. Over time, the fabric has developed a sheen and some of the lining has shrunk, causing the right sleeve cuff to be pulled a bit. I’m sure a tailor could relieve this by adjusting it, and the blue fabric would drape better to match the left cuff.
The cuffs have 3 blue buttons each. There is a Conmar zipper that works well. It sports two side pockets - one on each side, with some built in elastic above them. Over time, the elastic has lost most of its stretch. But a nice detail, just the same. It is fully lined in a pinkish grey satin which has a quarter sized water spot on the upper left. Can’t see when the coat is being worn.
The fabric is strong and in great shape for it’s age. No holes, tears, or stains outside and inside, other than the one water spot.
Overall, a rare and very cool jacket. A true survivor! Grab it!

Please do not pay until I send you an invoice. Shipping and material charges must first be determined before you pay. Ebay shipping calculator doesn’t add shipping material charges.
***Please note: we do our best giving descriptions of new and used pieces. Regarding the sale of musical instruments, we have found it impossible to describe every mark on an instrument or amp that is not in the "mint" category. Also, what's important to you may not be important to someone else. For example, you may say, "I don't care what it looks like as long as it plays or sounds well." Another person may say, "Body cosmetics are very important to me so tell me about every scratch, nick and blemish." So, please ask the questions that are most important to you. If you ask they will be answered. They are free and there's no limit. Additional photos can also be made available.
***My shipping policy is simple.
DO NOT PAY IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION
!
I FIRST MUST DETERMINE THE FULL COSTS TO YOUR SPECIFIC ADDRESS AND WHAT SHIPPER TO USE AFTER I BOX THE ITEM AND KNOW THE FULL WEIGHT AND DIMENSIONS!!! I WILL SEND YOU AN INVOICE ONCE I HAVE PAID FOR THE SHIPPING MATERIALS AND DETERMINE WHICH SHIPPER IS THE CHEAPEST AND BEST OPTION. ALSO, I NEED TO CALCULATE THE ADDED CHARGE FOR INSURING THE ITEM BASED ON ITS FINAL SALE PRICE. SOME OF THE ITEMS I SELL ARE EXPENSIVE AND HEAVY. THEY COST MONEY TO SHIP! IF YOU DON’T AGREE WITH MY POLICY, DO NOT BID. I HAVE OVER 4K POSITIVE TRANSACTIONS AND ALWAYS DO MY BEST FOR MY CUSTOMERS. THANKS!
I purchase boxes and shipping materials and charge the buyer for them at
cost. This does not show up in the Ebay shipping calculator. Neither does the insurance cost. So do not bid if you have a problem with it costing more that what is listed. I always find the best and cheapest shipper depending on the destination and size of the boxes. I have used FedEx, USPS and UPS. They are have their strengths and weaknesses. Because of these factors, sometimes I
setting a flat shipping price just in case some of you don't read my policy. I will refund any overage if the charges are less and expect you to fairly pay if the charges are more. All receipts will be scanned and shared with you.
***It is our policy to require a signature on delivery of all musical instruments we sell. Please let us know if you prefer no signature required when ordering or we will automatically require a signature.
